Building a following is as seductive as being drawn into an exclusive club of any kind. But, the club that you can build with people you relate well with can be so nurturing (like Tammy mentioned). The choice to pursue candor is freeing, but might have a price somewhere along the way. I had a terrible experience when a family member read what I had written (very unexpectedly) and was angry and hurt. I thought I was hidden, but not so much. Now I believe I overreacted by erasing everything I had written. I was manipulated by that person's responses, when really the problem was his. As long as we are not cruel or unkind to others (ala junior high clubs), I think this can be a great place for honesty.Rebekahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06105270971959281644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29783113.post-4529704194675679892009-03-06T10:57:00.000-06:002009-03-06T10:57:00.000-06:00Thanks for the ideas and that link! But I really liked this part of that post: "...blogging is where you get to be Free At Last... Let the bomb drop and just see what happens."

So far I'm just dropping little firecrackers, sparklers even. Setting the stage for the blitz, I guess. It's a process.Glimmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02085124664342701611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29783113.post-38215939164255949862009-03-03T17:41:00.000-06:002009-03-03T17:41:00.000-06:00It is very much like high school. I can't wait to read your thoughts.

I personally feel safer in clubs because we are sharing papers. :) I will step out of a club if I have something to document in this blog journal. People come and go based on simularities and manners.

Many read and never comment, which is fine with me. I have a small group that I know is there if needed.

HUGSTammy Brierlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14673290512175050093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29783113.post-85578646813019454842009-03-03T16:30:00.000-06:002009-03-03T16:30:00.000-06:00We must be bouncing around in the same circles bec...We must be bouncing around in the same circles because I read this post a couple of days ago. Remarkable post. I love the part of being reduced to high school behavior.Dutchbabyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00844296297519447526noreply@blogger.com
